The State Export Award distribution function for the year 2010-11 was held on dt.11.12.2013 in Panthanivas, OTDC, Bhubaneswar. NALCO was awarded with the best exporters award for the year 2011-12 and 5 nos. of exporters awarded with trophy with certificate of merit and 10 nos. of exporters awarded with certificate of excellency. The Secretary, M.S.M.E. Department, Government of Odisha has given away the awards in a ceremonial function.

A Seminar on “Containerized Cargo Handling Facilities at Paradip Port for the Exporters of Odisha” was organized by DEP&M, Odisha in association with FIEO, Odisha Chapter on dt.03.10.2013 in the Hotel Kalinga Ashoka, Bhubaneswar, Hon’ble Minister, M.S.M.E. and Health & Family Welfare Department, Odisha has inaugurated the Seminar and Shri Panchanan Dash, Secretary, M.S.M.E. Department has presided over the meeting where in the problems of exporters of Odisha regarding export of Containerized Cargo through Paradip Port was discussed. The Chairman, Paradip Port Trust outlined various improvement made so far for Containerized Cargo Handling Facilities and other development made in the port for the benefit of the exporters of Odisha.

The Directorate of EP&M participated in the first China South Asia Exposition held at Kunming, China from 6th to 10th June, 2013 in association with FIEO. The Director, EP&M along with 8 nos. of exporters of Odisha with their products have participated in the fair to explore, the Chinese market for the products of Odisha.

The Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing has participated in the India International Trade Fair 2013 (IITF) held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 14th to 27th November, 2013 under the banner of team of Odisha. The DEP&M managed an Business Information Booth in Odisha Pavilion to meet the queries of the business visitors attended the IITF-2013. 36 nos. of trade enquiries were received in the Business Information Booth during the Trade Fair.
